Interact Club Installation - Arakere School

The Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club at APJ Kalam School, Arakere was successfully conducted on 17th July 2026 by Rotary Club of Shimoga Midtown. The newly elected Interactors were installed and inspired to take up leadership and service with enthusiasm. Scholarship cheques, sponsored by the Rotary Blood Bank Trust, were presented to the top three SSLC students in both schools in recognition of their academic excellence. A special highlight of the programme was the distribution of 100 school bags sponsored by Rotary Club of Shimoga Midtown to the students of APJ Kalam School, Arakere, reaffirming the Club’s commitment to supporting education and empowering young minds. Nutritious Food Distribution

On 4th July 2026, the Rotary Club of Shimoga Town, in association with MecGan Hospital, organized a meaningful service activity by distributing protein powder supplements to nearly 60 post-pregnant women. The program was conducted with the objective of promoting maternal health and nutrition, aligning with Rotary’s commitment to maternal and child care. During the program, Dr. Prashanth, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, explained the significance and importance of protein supplementation for post-pregnant women and emphasized its role in ensuring better health outcomes for both mothers and their children. Railway Station Shimoga Wheel Chair Distribution

Rotary Club Shivamoga Midtown – Project Report The Rotary Club Shivamoga Midtown successfully organized a Wheelchair Donation Program at Shimoga Town Railway Station on 10th July 2026. The initiative was undertaken to provide better accessibility and assistance to physically challenged passengers, senior citizens, and expectant mothers visiting the railway station. The event was graced by Station Manager Mr. Bibhas Nandi as the Chief Guest. The program was led by Club President Rtn. Dr. Sridhara S., Secretary Rtn. Ujwala B. S., Community Director Rtn. Madavenele - Maternal & Child Health Program

Venue: Madhanale, Shivamogga The Rotary Club Shivamogga Midtown successfully organized a Maternal & Child Health Awareness Program on 9 July 2026 at Madhanale, Shivamogga. The program was graciously attended by our President, Dr. Shridhara S., Secretary, Rtn. Ujwala B.S., community service director, Rotarian R.N. Manjunath ,Rtn. Uma Amar Belgur, Rtn. Raghupathi siddoji and Rtn. Menaka Jagadeesh.The members of the Madhanale committee extended excellent support, contributing to the smooth and successful conduct of the program. Ayanur - Nutritious Food Distribution

A Mother and Child Health Program was successfully conducted by the Rotary Club at the Community Health Centre, Aynuru, on July 10, 2026. The program saw active participation from our club president, Rotarian Dr. Sridhar S., Chief Medical Officer Dr. Suresh Appaji, Dentist Dr. Shilpa, Community Service Director Rotarian R. N. Manjunath, Rotarian Narahari Borkar, hospital staff, and ASHA workers. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Suresh Appaji provided comprehensive information to pregnant women regarding the diet to be followed during pregnancy, the importance of nutritious food, and health care precautions. Approximately 40 women attended the event and benefited from the program. The event was conducted successfully.

On behalf of Rotary Club Shivamogga Midtown, we successfully conducted a Nutritious Food Distribution Program on 8th July 2026 for children suffering from nutritional deficiencies at McGann Hospital, Shivamogga. During the program, Dr. Veeresh, Paediatricion, delivered an informative address on the importance of nutrition in children’s lives. He eloquently explained how a balanced and nutritious diet is essential for healthy growth, physical development, stronger immunity, and overall well-being. His insightful talk created awareness among the parents and encouraged them to adopt healthy nutritional practices for their children. Nutritious food kits were distributed to around 40 children, with the aim of supporting their health and well-being. The beneficiaries and their families appreciated this thoughtful initiative.
