Community Service Railway Station Shimoga Wheel Chair Distribution Rotary Club Shivamoga Midtown – Project Report The Rotary Club Shivamoga Midtown successfully organized a Wheelchair Donation Program at Shimoga Town Railway Station on 10th July 2026. The initiative was undertaken to provide better accessibility and assistance to physically challenged passengers, senior citizens, and expectant mothers visiting the railway station. Community Service Ayanur - Nutritious Food Distribution A Mother and Child Health Program was successfully conducted by the Rotary Club at the Community Health Centre, Aynuru, on July 10, 2026. The program saw active participation from our club president, Rotarian Dr. Sridhar S., Chief Medical Officer Dr. Suresh Appaji, Dentist Dr. Shilpa, Community Service Director Rotarian R. N. Manjunath, Rotarian Narahari Borkar, hospital staff, and ASHA workers. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Suresh Appaji provided comprehensive information to pregnant women regarding the diet to be followed during pregnancy, the importance of nutritious food, and health care precautions. Community Service Child Care Ward - Nutritious Food Distribution On behalf of Rotary Club Shivamogga Midtown, we successfully conducted a Nutritious Food Distribution Program on 8th July 2026 for children suffering from nutritional deficiencies at McGann Hospital, Shivamogga. During the program, Dr. Veeresh, Paediatricion, delivered an informative address on the importance of nutrition in children’s lives. He eloquently explained how a balanced and nutritious diet is essential for healthy growth, physical development, stronger immunity, and overall well-being. His insightful talk created awareness among the parents and encouraged them to adopt healthy nutritional practices for their children. Nutritious food kits were distributed to around 40 children, with the aim of supporting their health and well-being. The beneficiaries and their families appreciated this thoughtful initiative.
